Michael D. Decker, MD, MPH

Michael D. Decker, MD, MPH, is Adjunct Professor of Preventive Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Decker's bibliography includes some 200 publications on vaccines or other topics in preventive medicine and health policy. Dr. Decker has served as a member of the National Vaccine Advisory Committee of the U.S. Public Health Service and as a member of the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee of the US Food and Drug Administration. In addition, Dr. Decker served as Editor in Chief of the journal Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology from 1993 to 2002 and as Co Editor of the International Journal of Health Governance from 2016 to 2020.
